Colonnade advises Premium Financing Specialists on its acquisition of Mepco’s Premium Finance Business from Independent Bank Corporation

In January 2007, Premium Financing Specialists, Inc. (“PFS”) of Kansas City, Missouri, completed its acquisition of substantially all of the insurance premium finance business of Mepco Insurance Premium Financing (“Mepco”) from Independent Bank Corporation (NASDAQ:IBCP), a bank holding company headquartered in Ionia, Michigan.

Mepco will continue to own and operate its warranty finance business.

PFS is one of the largest premium finance companies in the United States.

Colonnade Advisors LLC initiated the transaction and served as exclusive financial advisor to PFS.
