Peter Mesrobian

Peter Mesrobian is the CEO of Chelsea Ventures, LLC, a Chicago-based importer and distributor of old and rare wine.

Prior to founding Chelsea Ventures, Pete worked at Bank One Corporation for 20 years, most recently as the Executive Vice President responsible for Product Management and Operations for the bank’s Global Treasury and Trade Services (GTTS). In this capacity, he managed over 900 people in businesses comprising in excess of $1 billion in annual revenue, including the bank’s Lockbox, Wire Transfer, Remittance, Sweep, and Account Analysis groups.

Prior to Bank One’s GTTS group, Pete managed Bank One’s Global Foreign Exchange business, including FX sales and trading activities in 13 offices in 9 countries. While managing this group from 1996-2000, revenues doubled and expenses were cut over 20% as a result of extensive global operational consolidations, strategic repositioning, and incorporation of internet delivery into the bank’s product offerings.

Pete joined The First National Bank of Chicago in 1982 as a First Scholar and worked in the Bank’s Asset/Liability Management, Money Market trading, and Fixed Income Derivative groups. He moved to London in 1990 to trade interest rate derivatives and became head of European derivatives in 1992 before assuming responsibility for the Global Foreign Exchange group.

Pete earned an AB degree cum laude in Slavic Languages and Literature from Princeton University and an MBA in Finance/Accounting from The University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business.
