Matt Rizai is a Managing Director of WebFilings LLC, a software company headquartered in Los Altos, California and Ames, Iowa. WebFilings offers the first and only end‐to‐end solution for external financial reporting. The company develops and markets a fully‐integrated, cloud‐based solution dedicated to meeting SEC reporting requirements. With WebFilings, reporting teams collaborate in real‐time on their financial reports from accounting close through SEC acceptance – including integrated EDGAR HTML conversion and XBRL mapping and tagging.

Matt serves on the Board of Directors of Stafford Development Company, a diversified services company headquartered in Tifton, Georgia. He also serves on the Advisory Board of 10X Technologies, a microfabrication technology company headquartered in Libertyville, Illinois.

Matt was the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Engineering Animation, Inc. (EAI) from June 1990 until October 2000. EAI is a leader in Internet-enabled visual process management, collaboration, analysis and communication solutions for extended manufacturing enterprises. Under Matt’s leadership, the company went public in February 1996. EAI was acquired in October 2000 for $205 million by Unigraphics Solutions (now known as UGS, Inc.).

Prior to EAI, Matt was an analyst at ARCH Development Corporation, a senior research engineer at General Motors Corp., and a development engineer at Ford Motor Co. Matt also co-founded Computer Aided Design Software, Inc. in 1983.

Matt earned a doctorate in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University and an MBA from The University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business.
