Columbia University Extends Engagement with
Colonnade Advisors

Columbia University’s office of technology transfer, Science & Technology Ventures (S&TV), has renewed its multi-year engagement with Colonnade Advisors LLC. Colonnade has been a retained advisor to Columbia University’s Science & Technology Ventures since 1999.

Columbia University has consistently led all universities in technology licensing income and has contributed technology to more than 70 start-ups.

S&TV commercializes intellectual property created at Columbia University in life science, material science and computer science. S&TV (i) identifies and patents new inventions and copyright materials, (ii) interacts with industry to establish collaborative research agreements, (iii) advises industry of new inventions and negotiates license agreements and (iv) works with the venture investment community to facilitate the start-up of companies.

Colonnade advises S&TV on commercialization of promising new technologies, partnerships with third parties, and alternatives to maximize the value of Columbia University’s portfolio of intellectual property.

Colonnade also provides mergers & acquisitions advisory services to companies in the business services, financial services and manufacturing sectors.
